Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 22, Day 2!

---Day 2 Post from Peachy Keen Blog -- :)

Hello again! First things first... Remember yesterday how I mentioned the beautiful weather in Wisconsin? Let me take that back! We have heat advisories out for the next two days and then back into the 50/60's on Thursday. Apparently I spoke too soon. :) Okay, enough about the crazy weather...

Today I decided that I need to take a few minutes and make a baby card for one of my BFF's who just had a sweet little baby girl. This was a bit of a challenge because my friend does not love pastels and even more specifically, pastel pink. I kept it to a minimum by using brightly colored patterned paper with a very little sprinkle of pinks. :) What do you think?
Photobucket
Oh and the super sweet PK-222 Happy-Go-Lucky Elephant... one of my faves!
Photobucket
That bow on the card isn't just an ordinary bow. It is fully equipped with an alligator clip on the back and ready to be tucked into some of that new-baby-smelling hair. I make hairbows... it's kind of my 'thing'. So I have been adding a small one to baby girl cards that I have made lately. Every little girl needs a pretty hair bow! :) Even if you can't make your own hair bows, this would be a super easy gift to whip up for a new baby girl! Buy a few bows to add to the card and VOILA! But if you don't want to add bows... it's still a fun card with a super cute elephant!
Photobucket

Supplies I used:
PK-222 Happy-Go-Lucky Elephant
Little Girl (all patterned paper and cardstock sticker 'cutie pie') by Echo Park Paper
Kraft cardstock by Bazzill
Button by BasicGrey
Ribbon by Offray
gellyroll white pen
COPIC markers
Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Lilac Twine from the Twinery

That's all I have for today... but don't forget about that sweet candy!

To be entered into the drawing please leave a note on this blog post and also on my blog. You will have five days to leave a note, so that is five chances to win! :) I will use random.org to pick which day and post for the winner. I will draw and announce the winner on my blog on Saturday June 11th.

Have a great Tuesday! Thanks for checking out my project today!

Valentine's Day Card Blog Hop

Hey there! If you arrived here from Sarah's blog you are in the right place! If not, feel free to hop back to the beginning over to Ellen/CardMonkey's blog and start from the beginning. Lots of fun stuff to see hopping along the way!

Here's my card for the hop --
Photobucket

The sentiment is a little harder to read because I stamped it on the polka-dotted part... "Through Rain or Shine you'll always be mine" an itty bitty stamp by Unity Stamp Co. (I stalked Archiver's for this stamp for quite a while! They finally got more in! Woo!)

Paper pieced her accessories, because every girl needs matching accessories!

Holiday Cards and Gifts Blog Hop

Merry Christmas! The holidays are that time of year when papercrafters are going crazy, trying to finish all of their last minute projects for gifts and cards for those special people.

Join all of the lovely ladies in the Holiday Cards and Gifts blog hop to get a little inspiration for those last minute ideas. If you aren't joining me from Nicolette at Beyond Scrappin's page -- feel free to hop back to the beginning so you don't miss anyone.

Photobucket

My project is a fairly simple card that I made for my sister-in-law-to-be's Christmas/ornament-themed shower on Sunday! I didn't use a big sentiment just a tiny 'for you' in the corner so that it would be versatile towards her shower theme and yet still be a Christmas-y card. :) I'm rambling... so here it is!
Photobucket
Supplies used in this fun card:
Cardstock - CTMH
Patterned paper - 'Making Spirits Bright' stack by Hobby Lobby (an old stack!)
Stamp - Hero Arts
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Markers - Copics
Ribbon - Celebrate It (Michael's)
Border punch - Martha Stewart
Bling - KaiserCraft
Pen - Gelly Roll Medium

Popped off one of the ornaments for a little dimension and fun! :)

A little close up of some of the stuff I have going on towards the bottom...

Puppy Surgery

This layout is a page of my daughter showing her love for her stuffed puppy (which happens to be a backpack) after this puppy had to have a little surgery. The arm was falling off, but luckily mommy is experienced in sewing/fixing stuffed animals. :)

I used the Cosmo Cricket 'Material Girl' line for most of the embellishments and papers in this layout, a few handmade embellishments and other randoms. Let me know if you have any questions -- I'm happy to reply!

And some closer shots so you can see the details...

Just saying hello!

Friday night I need to 'de-stress' a little... I used to color a lot when I was stressed. I decided to kick it up a notch and color like a big girl with my copic markers. :)
Photobucket
Papers from this card are from the Apple Cider line by Imaginisce, so are the stamps. :) Ribbons are Maya Road, border punch is Martha Stewart, and the embossing folder in the background is the plaid folder from Basic Grey/Sizzix.

Don't forget to follow me and leave a comment on my BLOG CANDY POST! :) Can't wait to pick a winner!

This was for a flower challenge... think I had enough flowers?? :)

And one of my favorites... its a pretty simple layout, but I love it!
Photobucket

And one more... and I'm done flooding everyone with pictures. :)
Photobucket

Okay! WHEW! Now on to cards and other stuff? haha. I'll give it a rest for today. :) Thanks for looking!

Edited to add: I officially DISLIKE photobucket. I resized and cropped all of these pictures and some of them aren't showing up correctly. My apologies! Not much else I can do other than scream at the computer screen... and thats not working right now either! :)
