My Ribbon Addiction.

Hi. My name is a Liz and I'm addicted to ribbon. I have a lot of it and I use it in almost every papercrafting project I do..... really, its a sickness. I have a box with all of the PLAIN colors of grosgrain, satin, and organdy type ribbons in them wrapped on ribbon cards.... then I have two drawers in the bottom of my cabinet that hangs on the wall that is full of ribbon (and holds my fabulous ribbon iron)!
And here's my solution to keeping all of my random ribbons organized... and where I can see them. :) Plus its lovely to look at -- it makes me smile! (the ones thats are clothespinned to the hanger are like that because I didn't want to do the looped knot thing and get them creased --- they are thicker felt ribbons and things like that.) :)

Hope it helps someone --- its my cheap way to hang ribbon! I got inspiration from this idea from Angela on my scrappin' board who uses a pants hanger for her ribbon! Same concept -- different contraption. (The style she has you can actually put rolls of ribbon on it as well! How cool!)

Thanks for looking!

Catching up, AGAIN! :)

I've been such a slacker on posting things as I do them... but I just keep forgetting about this whole blogging thing because I'm new to it still! Sooner or later it will become habit, right? :)

I made this a few days ago -- a diaper cake for a baby shower gift:

And this for my Uncle's 65th birthday --- I got the idea from Jamie!!! Thanks Jamie!

TFL!!! :) (I know there are more pics somewhere on my computer and in my phone... but thats what I'm putting up for now. I'm being lazy!)

Little Bags...

So my SIL wanted me to make some tags or something for her to give to some people she goes to school with and her instructors. She's going to school to become a nurse so she gets to know them quite well and semester is over Wednesday. Anyway.... I did one better, I made some fun little bags for her to put the goodies in! :)

She has candy and stuff she's going to put in them. :) Each one has a message specific to the candy that will be put inside. Too cute! :) This is my first try with a bag or a box or anything like that with my cricut. It was a lot of fun... but I need to go to bed. :)

I have a lot of pictures I've taken of the things I've made in the past week or so that I will try to get up tomorrow or Wednesday!

The Cart 'o Paper.

Here it is -- I'm almost out growing it... I'll be in trouble then.

Photobucket

This is a cropper hopper paper cart with vertical paper organizer in it. Each folder thingy can hold around 250ish(?) pieces of cardstock -- more patterned paper because its thinner usually.
Its nice because everything is in one spot now! All my paper stacks and non-12x12 paper is on the bottom :) Oh and page kits and stuff are on the bottom. Woohoo!

EDITED::: I have outgrown this a bit... haha! I'll try to get new pics up of what I'm doing to handle the extras.

My new BFF ---

I have a new best friend.... and I'm pretty sure that this friend is going to be with me through thick and thin. ;)

Oh and I'm super excited to start using this.... The Lime Rickey collection by Basic Grey. I got it at my local Archiver's. :)

I just put together my Cropper Hopper paper cart.... I'm loading it up and rearranging/organizing a bit... I'll post pics later or tomorrow. :)

My space!

Here is a series of lovely shots of my scrappin' space.
Its the landing in upstairs of our house... its a rather large landing and was a waste of space. So I took over the closet, hung up a cabinet and put a table and a shelf up and VOILA! A scrap space for me! :)
Here is what it looked like when I first got it all straightened out:

On the back of my table on the white railing(this goes around the stairs) -- I have buckets with all my go-to items. One is a bucket of adhesive, punches (a few border punches and a corner punch - the rest are in a bin in my storage area, inks - like the cats eye ones I use for inking edges and stuff... and the one is random things I use really often. Most of my tools are in my tool turn about... which is actually an old Pampered Chef tool thing for your counter top. :) It works great!
