Candles

Funny thing... I've made a lot of candles in the last year for gifts and people have purchased them from me to give as gifts and such. These four candles were "commissioned" by someone who is a dear friend of my mother's, as well as a fellow member of our church family. I say church family because we spend so much time there that it truly is another family to us.

Anyway -- I just figured I'd snap a few pictures and share. I used some Prima flowers on a few and some pretty ribbons, blingy brads, pearl pins, all sorts of goodies. The stamps are mostly scripture verse stamps from Hobby Lobby and the candles are from Michael's. :)

These are always so fun to make and I'm hoping to get a few moments to make more soon!

I made some fun 3"x3" valentines cards for my neices, nephews, and other random people we like to give sweets to. :) We have heart-shaped cookie pops slated on our "to-do" list next week, complete with multi-colored heart sprinkles and that fun glittery sprinkle stuff. Should be a good time! Anyway, I need some little cards to put with them, of course! Most of these cards are going to kids, so I wanted them to have some sparkles but keep it simple... I made lots...

Blog Candy Winners

Hey Everyone! Just a quick post... I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all of your lovely comments over the past few weeks. :) I'm going to go back through and read everything, I'm playing catch up right now. The last time I was able to post on here was for the Valentine's blog hop and as I was writing up that post I started get a fever and crazy chills, so I've been out of the papercrafting game for a little while here! That weekend was absolutely miserable... and both kids had strep. Oh what fun! I hope all of you are staying healthy. :)

Valentine's Day Card Blog Hop

Sugar and Spice and SPARKLES!

Okay, so I'll admit it... I may have gone a little glitter crazy with this layout. It sure was fun!!!

This is my little girl when she was around 2 and got her first tutu dress up outfit. She wouldn't take it off and in fact, we went out to dinner with friends that night and she wore it there too. I believe she cried that night when it was time to go to bed and she had to take it off. Goofy girl! She's still all about fancy and fru-fru things, so apparently this is when it all started!

Wow... has it been less than 12 hours since my last blog post? I couldn't sleep... my little guy (who is seen on this page!) woke up in pain. I'm thinking 2 year molars, but not sure. Faithful Friend

I was digging through some photos tonight and I came across these pictures of our family dog, Radar. She was such a special dog and indeed, a faithful friend in the all of the ways that pets can be. Always knowing when something was wrong, when you needed some extra licks or cuddling, she just knew what she needed to be to each person in our family. She was a truly amazing dog, right up to the end.

Radar passed away when I was about 6 months pregnant with my oldest child. It was a sad day, but she will forever be remembered for the remarkable addition to our family that happened by "mistake". (I don't remember 100% how it happened, but she was my brother's dog. I think he needed somewhere for her to be for a while when he was moving -- he brought her over one day and she just never left.)

So there's my little jaunt down memory lane and without further ado - my dear friend, Radar. :)
